Lavender Shortbread Cookies



 Ingredients

2 tsp dried lavender petals ( I ordered mine from Amazon. Here is the Link)

1 Cup of Butter (use real butter)

1/2 C powdered sugar

1/4 C Brown Sugar

2 Cups flower

Purple sprinkles. 


Directions

Mix together the butter, both sugars, and lavender petals until combined and spread around the bowl.

Add flour to the bowl a little at a time.


Roll the dough into a log about 12 inches long. Roll it in the sprinkles and wrap it in plastic wrap or parchment paper. 

OR another option is to roll it out and use a cookie cutter. Make sure to use sprinkles before cooking it.


Place the cookies on an ungreased sheet tray, and refrigerate for 1 hour, until cold and firm to the touch.


Preheat oven to 300F.

Cut the log into 1/4 inch circles if you went with this option


Bake the cookies for 20-25 minutes, until the cookies are lightly golden brown on the edges.

Let the cookies cool to room temperature, and enjoy!
