Professional Bio
I am passionate about empowering people and helping them to
reach their goals.
I believe that we are all meant to be the hero of our own
stories.
In 2016 I started working with an anti-human trafficking
task force. I served men, women, and children who were going through the worst
moments of their lives. At this time, I had two roles, I worked as a cyber
intelligence legal researcher and was certified through the Department of
Justice to help families onto the Address Confidentiality Program. I worked
with lawyers and advocates and was qualified as an expert witness for the
courts to testify in cases involving trafficking, domestic violence, and stalking.
I received my 40-hour domestic violence training, suicide
PAIR certification, certification for the Crimes Victims Compensation Program,
and the Department of Justice Civil Rights Training.
I began to notice that many of the victims who had a
faster/easier time recovering had a strong faith in something higher than
themselves. As someone who profiled both perpetrators and victims, I was
fascinated by this reoccurring pattern in recovery. I explored this connection
which then led me to finishing my Master’s Degree in Pastoral Counseling with a
specialty in Community Chaplaincy. I began to help all different kinds of
people from various belief systems as they navigated trauma and the difficult path
to justice and safety.
I became active in legislation and interned with a senator.
I was unanimously elected to be the first Chair of the Voices Committee and
lead a group of survivors to successfully advocate in legislative. Our work lead
to new laws being passed that protected victims of crime.
I became the Associate Director for Voices Set Free and
traveled to universities, churches, and law enforcement affiliates as a public
speaker and educator to talk about the impacts of family violence, cyber safety,
and childhood domestic violence.
I am a member of the American Association for Christian
Counselors and I serve on the board of directors for the National
Association of Handwriting and Document Experts.
I am also a bestselling author and award-winning artist. I
pioneered a profiling system for creative people and created a successful time
management program for creators. I am an active speaker and educator at
writers’ conferences and other art venues in helping creative people manage
their time and discover what it really means to be a creator and the impact
they have on those around them and the world.
